ERO Basic
The 2-day ERO Basic course “Emergency Response Officer” (ERO, in Dutch BHV Basic) is for people that want to become the aid worker at their workplace. The participants are trained in all the tasks involved in being an aid worker.
These are i.a evacuation, aftercare, fire control and communication during an incident.
This training is provided by STC B.V.
Part 1: Life-saving
- General rules for the provision of first-aid (5 important
points) - Emergency transport hold “Rauket”
- Vital functions
- Rescue breathing and CPR (for adults)
- Use of AED
- Suffocation and poisoning
- Shock
- External (severe) bleeding and how to use bandage
- Local injury (burns, fractions, eye injuries)
Part 2: Communication, fire control and evacuation.
- Tasks of the aid worker
- Communication during a incident
- Fire control (fire three-and pentagon, fire stages, small fire extinguishers)
- Evacuations
- Importance of aftercare

Training times:
We expect the participants at 07.45 on the first training day. The following days start at 08.00. All training days end no later than 17.00, unless the participant attends additional training(s).
For separate groups and in-company trainings the times and course formats can be adapted (evenings and weekends are also an option).
Language:
The ERO Basic training is given in Dutch. We can organize this training in a different language for groups on request and if necessary with an private interpreter.
Requirements for participation:
In order to participate in this training, participants do not need to have any specific requirements.
Additional Locations:
All emergency response officer (ERO)’’ trainings can be performed at STC NEXT.
When your facilities pass our requirements, the training can also be performed at your location.
