The Basic Offshore Safety Introduction and Emergency Training (BOSIET 0.5a + NOG- supplement) is a three-day training intended for employees working in the offshore sector. The Further Offshore Emergency Training (0.5a / FOET) is a one day refresher training. This course is designed for offshore personnel whose 0.5a / BOSIET certificate is about to expire. The Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) training is a result of the CAA Report (CAP 1145), developed for passengers in the UK sector whom travel by helicopter to and from an offshore installation or schip. Starting from September 2014 this training is mandatory for the UK sector and by May 1, 2015 this training is also mandatory in the Netherlands. The aims and objectives of the training are to ensure that the delegate gains the required knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of a CA EBS  and appropriate practical emergency response. The training is OPITO and NOGEPA approved. This CA-EBS training can also be booked as an "On Board" training via STC-KNRM at 0800-1412  This CA-EBS training contains: The fundamental differences between re-breather and compressed air systems (technology and use); The rationale and use of compressed air emergency breathing systems in helicopter emergency situations; The hazards associated with compressed air emergency breathing systems. Occasionally a visit may be paid to an offshore mining installation by a Corporate, Government, or other Officials.In order to safeguard the person it is important that he/she receives basic instructions and acquires a sufficient level of understanding of circumstances and hazards on an offshore mining installation. Sufficient basic knowledge of emergency response and selfrescue actions, while travelling to and from the installation by helicopter is also required. A visit to an installation is only allowed with this training under the following conditions: The visitor will not participate in any operational activity on board of the installation; During the visit the visitor shall be under guidance of a qualified and instructed crewmember. Medical First Aid   It is vital that passengers on board ships can provide medical first aid to fellow passengers. This is subject to legal requirements in the international STCW convention. Every officer is obliged to be in possession of a valid certificate. The Medical First Aid course teaches you to act quickly and efficiently in case of accidents and illness on board. Medical Care The international STCW Convention also imposes legal requirement on medical care provided on ships. the person responsible for medical care on board is obliged to be in possession of valid certificate. The course Medical Care teaches you to provide medical care to the sick and wounded on board. The 3-day basic course First Aid gives you a diploma from ‘’Oranje kruis’’. A person with a First Aid certificate has more skill and expertise in offering lifesaving help than an ERO-er. When a company has a higher than average risk for a big incident the company needs to have a staff member that is certified to provide First Aid. The Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) training is a result of the CAA Report (CAP 1145), developed for passengers in the UK sector whom travel by helicopter to and from an offshore installation or schip. Starting from September 2014 this training is mandatory for the UK sector and by May 1, 2015 this training is also mandatory in the Netherlands. The aims and objectives of the training are to ensure that the delegate gains the required knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of a CA EBS  and appropriate practical emergency response. The training is OPITO and NOGEPA approved. This CA-EBS training can also be booked as an "On Board" training via STC-KNRM at 0800-1412  This CA-EBS training contains: The fundamental differences between re-breather and compressed air systems (technology and use); The rationale and use of compressed air emergency breathing systems in helicopter emergency situations; The hazards associated with compressed air emergency breathing systems.
