Fire Awareness (GWO)
This training is accordingly to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO).
This training Fire Awareness GWO is designed for staff working in the wind industry, on land and / or sea, involved in the construction, maintenance and / or service for onshore and / or offshore wind turbines and wind farms. The training Fire Awareness examines basic knowledge and skills on how to deal with fire.

This Fire Awareness (GWO) training contents:
- The emergence and spread of fire;
- Risks of fire in wind turbines;
- Recognizing the first signs of possibility of fire in a wind turbine;
- Emergency plans in a wind turbine, including smoke detection and escape procedures;
- Operation and use of fire extinguishers.
What should I bring?
- Valid identification (passport, identity card, driving license);
- Valid medical examination certificate.
After the training you will receive a sticker for your safety passport (PSL). A safety passport is optionally available from us for € 17.50 (excl 21% VAT)
Winda registration:
As of October 17, 2016, all participants in the GWO trainings must register as participants in WINDA. Once the registration is completed you will receive a WINDA ID, this WINDA ID must be sent to info@STC NEXT.nl before the end of the training. This WINDA ID is your personal identification and all your future GWO trainings will be registered under this ID. You can register for a WINDA ID with a smartphone, tablet or PC at winda.globalwindsafety.org.

Training times:
We expect the participants at 07.45 on the first training day. The following days start at 08.30, all training days end no later than 12.30, unless the participant attends additional training(s).
Language:
The training is given in English. We can organize this training in a different language for groups on request and if necessary with an private interpreter.
