Working at Heights (GWO)
This training is accordingly to the guidelines of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO).
This 1,5 day training Working at Heights GWO is designed for staff working in the wind industry, involved in the construction, maintenance or service for onshore and/or offshore wind turbines and wind farms. The training Working at Heights GWO provides knowledge about the risks, legislation and inspection of equipment. In addition, skills are taught which are necessary for safely working at height. This course focusus on knowledge of the risks of working at height and the prevention of accidents.

This Working at Heights (GWO) training contents:
- The hazards and risks of working at height in a wind turbine;
- Legislation of working at heights;
- The protective equipment, what is the European and global standard for this equipment
- Inspection, maintenance and proper storage of Personal Protection Equipment
- Safe use of anchors and ladders;
- Evacuation.
What should I bring?
- Valid identification (passport, identity card, driving license);
- Valid medical examination certificate.
You will receive a sticker for your safety passport (PSL) after the training. A safety passport is optionally available from us for € 17.50 (excl 21% VAT)
Winda registration
As from October 17, GWO training participants will have to register in WINDA for a delegate profile. Once you have completed your registration, you will receive a WINDA ID which you must send to info@STC NEXT.nl before you complete the training. The WINDA ID is your personal identification and all of your future GWO training will be associated with this ID.

A requirement from GWO is that a participant participating in the GWO Sea Survival must hold a valid GWO Working at Height certificate.
A good physical condition is required. Participants may not exceed 125 kilos in relation to the bearing capacity of the materials that are used during the Working at Heights training. We kindly advise you to bring your own safety shoes.
Training times:
We expect the participants at 07.45 on the first training day, the training ends no later than 16:30, unless the participant attends additional training(s). The following day starts at 08:30 and ends around 16:30 o’clock.
Language:
The training is given in English. We can organize this training in a different language for groups on request and if necessary with an private interpreter.
